Welcome to the Youth Program Training course! This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to participate in or provide services through the Youth Program, a workforce development program that serves eligible youth ages 14 to 24. The Youth Program is an important component of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which is a federal law that supports workforce development programs across the country.

The Youth Program is designed to help young people get the skills and training they need to succeed in their future careers. It provides a range of services to eligible youth, including summer jobs, year-round employment, and educational and training programs that lead to post-secondary credentials.

In this course, we’ll start by providing an overview of the Youth Program and discussing its purpose and goals. We’ll review the eligibility requirements for participants, and explore the services offered through the program, including career exploration and development, job search and interviewing skills, work readiness skills, technical and occupational skills training, post-secondary education and training, employer engagement and work-based learning, and wrap-around support services.

We’ll also discuss the role of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in supporting the Youth Program, and the importance of serving young people through programs like the Youth Program. By the end of this course, you’ll have a better understanding of the resources and support available through the Youth Program and how to take advantage of them to achieve your career goals.
